Polydoku is a puzzle game. It is built to work without collecting anything about you. This page says exactly what is stored and where.
On your phone
Your games, pencil marks, settings, history and streaks are saved on your phone. They never leave it unless you sign in (see below). Deleting the app deletes them.
If you sign in
Signing in is optional. If you sign in with Apple or Google, the app uses Firebase (a service from Google) to keep your account and to back up your game history so you can move to another phone.
- From Apple or Google we receive an account identifier. If you use Google, we also receive your email address. We do not ask Apple for your name or email.
- We store, linked to your account: the puzzles you played, your times, the dates, whether you solved them, and the numbers on the board.
- If you choose a username, we store it with your account. We store no name or email in your profile; it also holds the day you last opened the app, your phone platform and the app version.
- We use this only to restore your history. We do not use it for advertising or analytics, and we do not share or sell it.
You can delete your account in the app (Settings, Account, Delete account). This removes your account and all of your stored games. If you want it done by us, write to support@polydoku.app.
Feedback
If you send feedback from the app, we store your message, whether it is about a puzzle, a bug or an idea, the app version and the phone platform (iOS or Android). If you choose to include a puzzle, we also store the puzzle with your numbers, and if you choose to include a screenshot, the picture of the game screen. Screenshots show only the board. The note is not linked to your account, and we do not collect your name or email with it. Please don't put personal information in the message. Notes are kept as long as they are useful for fixing and improving the app.
Counts without an account
Once a day the app adds to a few anonymous totals: that it was opened, on iOS or Android, and how many puzzles of each level were solved the day before. These counts carry no account, device or user identifier, whether you are signed in or not.
Crash reports
If the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics receives a report: the app version, the phone model and system version, and where in the code it failed. It is not linked to your account and is not collected in test builds.
What we do not do
No advertising. No tracking across apps or websites. No analytics about you. No selling or sharing of data.
Where data is stored
Account and feedback data is stored with Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Firebase Authentication). Google may process it in data centers outside your country.
Children
Polydoku is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Signing in is not needed to play.
Your rights
If you live in the EU, UK or a place with similar laws, you can ask to see, correct or delete your data. Deleting your account in the app removes your stored games. For anything else, write to support@polydoku.app.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above changes and the new version is posted here.
